Remy Kufahl

Software and tech leader by day. By night I build apps, wire APIs together, hack hardware, design and 3D print things, and run a homelab.

01 / Day job

Software & Tech Leadership

Day to day, I connect the business systems people rely on so their work gets simpler. I pick tools that solve real problems, and when the right one doesn’t exist, I build it. I keep things secure without making them painful.

I like dependable, boring infrastructure and software that does one thing well. Boring is a compliment.

02 / After hours

Things I make after hours

When the workday ends, I keep building. Software, hardware, and everything in between gets a turn at the bench.

Nerd for hire

I take on work mostly as a consultant, through my company, MegaRem Technologies. That covers everything above, from software and integrations to hardware, and yes, websites too.

Aurora, and the machines that run it

Aurora is an AI assistant I built and run at home, privacy first. It takes care of everyday chores, with help from a team of other agents, and it keeps getting better at them.

The Aurora workflow
  1. AskI send a message from wherever I am, by text, Telegram, Discord or anything else
  2. ThinkAurora works out what I am after
  3. WorkThe right helpers take it from there
  4. Compute84 GB unified memory for inference
  5. AnswerThe answer comes back to me, and the private parts never leave my hardware
Private stays home
I keep a close eye on what comes in and what goes out. The private stuff stays on my own hardware.
A team that checks itself
Aurora works with a team of agents, and they look over each other's work.
Checked before done
Nothing gets marked done until someone else has checked it.
